Today was the first of 10 days of teacher preparation. It was actually a really good day. I got to meet the other teachers (including one guy who went to my high-school...crazy small world!) and work on setting up the classroom.
One funny story:
We broke up into small groups and played the group 2 truths and a lie. Basically, you say three things about yourself, one of which is a lie, and the other people are supposed to guess which one isn't true. I said: "I was born in Texas, I have 2 tattoos, and I am 30 years old". Without hesitation, 2 of the women said something along the lines of "Oh, you definitely have tattoos - you look like a tattoo kind of girl".
Most of you who read this blog know me, and I would hazard a guess that none of you think of me as a "tattoo kind of girl". Then again, maybe I don't have any idea how others perceive me. Maybe I should rethink that golden girls tat.

huh, I thought you had tattoos. would have got it wrong.
This is funny. Isn't it amazing how we really have NO idea how others perceive us? But no, I wouldn't think of you as a tatoo kind of gal :)
