I wanted to direct you all to my friend Jeanne's blog. She and I go way back to middle-school, where we fought over a boy on a missions trip to Chatanooga (he wasn't worth it). We ended up attending the same college (St. John's), me for undergraduate and she for graduate work. Now we're both looking to help urban youth in cities that are extremely dysfunctional. She just moved to New Orleans, and is working on getting her teaching certificate so she can be involved with all the hard work that is going on there to better the lives of the children.
Please pray for her, as I know you do for me. She has a heart for children, and a very unique spirit and mind that I know can make a world of difference. I believe great things are going to come from her - whether by affecting one child or one hundred, she will be spreading the love of the Gospel.
