Today is my last day of work for a while. Programs ended on Wednesday, and won't start again until Camp Heaven kicks off in late June. On Monday, I'm travelling to Vermont to hang out with this little angel:

Right now I'm reflecting on this last school year and how much I've changed. My kids would be amazed if they knew how much they've affected me - I'm sure they don't think of themselves as being that powerful. But their daily influence has taught me more about God's love and Christian community than any other thing in my life.I will expound more on this later, after I've had some time to think and process. I will also give you an end-of-year report on some of the students who I've been asking you to pray for. For now, I'll leave you with a picture from some of our boys at last year's Camp Heaven. I'm always touched when I see images like this; these 2 particular kids act so tough and pretend to be old and hardened. They're often picking fights and asserting themselves to just about anyone who will listen. They are just children, though. I need to always remember that.
